Edinburgh International Book Festival
UPDATE: Due to unforeseen reasons Janne Teller cannot attend this event.
Janne Teller is a Danish novelist and short story writer who has won numerous prizes for her work.
Her novel ‘War’, published in the UK last year, has been translated into several languages and is uniquely adapted according to the country in which it is published. As a former United Nations employee and member of the jury of the prestigious German Book Peace Prize, Janne Teller is actively engaged in human rights issues and her sometimes controversial books often confront modern civilization.
As part of the festivals’ “Age of Political Earthquakes” series of events the author will talk to Chilean writer and teacher Lina Meruane.
